Atlanta will host Super Bowl in 2028
Atlanta will host the Super Bowl in 2028, the NFL announced.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans suffered an injury early in the second quarter against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. The star wide receiver exited the game and went to the locker room, and the team did not provide specifics regarding the injury Evans might have sustained. He returned to the game but failed to do much with his snaps.
The Buccaneers’ high-flying offense has been terrific to start 2024, ranking tenth in offensive DVOA, according to FTN.
Here’s the latest on Mike Evans injury and potential return for Week 7:
The 31-year-old did not practice on Oct. 17, the Thursday leading up to the Buccaneers’ “Monday Night Football” matchup vs. the Ravens.
Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters that Evans “tweaked his leg” and the injury was “nagging” him before Week 6. Bowles added that the receiver is “getting better” and “should return to practice as the week progresses.”
It sounds like the team isn’t concerned about the veterans’ availability for their upcoming “Monday Night Football” clash with the Ravens. Both teams have started strong in 2024 with 4-2 records and will look to continue that momentum.
Evans wasn’t on the injury report before Week 6 but was listed with knee and calf injuries before the Buccaneers’ Week 5 game against the Falcons. Those are the identifiable “nagging” injuries Evans has picked up this season.

Evans left the Buccaneers’ Week 6 game with 12:25 remaining in the second quarter, with Tampa Bay leading 17-10. He returned to the game at the two-minute mark. The team has stayed tight-lipped on what prompted the wide receiver to go to the locker room.
Evans went to the locker room immediately following a Baker Mayfield interception.
Paulson Adebo intercepted Mayfield, and Evans possibly injured himself during the interception return. Evans was chasing Adebo for 15 yards before he was taken down.
