The 2024 NFL Draft, one of the most important events on the league’s calendar, is upon us! The 89th annual draft, is where 257 prospects will be selected over three days, through the process that involves each of 32 teams choosing from a pool of eligible players to add to their rosters.
This could be a potential record-breaking draft if teams follow the expected path, this year’s draft could see the most offensive players ever selected in the first round, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
As the first name will be called in a few hours, the tension is palpable. The countless NFL mock drafts and predictions are about to be put to the test, revealing whether they were spot on or completely off the mark.

2024 NFL Draft rumors roundup: Trade rumors, news ahead of first round
The 2024 NFL draft is scheduled to take place over three days from April 25 to 27. The first round will be held on Day 1 on Thursday, April 25, Rounds 2-3 on Day 2 on Friday, April 26, and Rounds 4-7 on Day 3 on Saturday, April 27.
The 2024 NFL Draft will be hosted in Detroit’s downtown area, including at the Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza.

The 2024 NFL Draft coverage will begin at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, and the draft itself will start at 8 p.m. ET. Each team in the first round will have ten minutes to decide and submit their pick.
This time limit will decrease to seven minutes for the second round on Friday, and five minutes for the third through sixth rounds on Saturday. Teams will only have four minutes to make their draft picks in the seventh and final round.
The broadcast itself is about 3-4 hours, so the times below are a rough estimate based on the 10-minute time limit.
