Jaguars To Play Back-To-Back Games In London For Second Time
The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to play in back-to-back games in London for the second straight season, according to Jacksonville.com.
The Jaguars became the first team in history to play two straight games in London and they are expected to return to the English capital.
Jacksonville, who went 2-0 in London in 2023, will play as the designated home team at Wembley Stadium against an unknown opponent.
They will then play at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against the Chicago Bears as the away team, with the games expected for October.
The Jaguars went to London for Week 4 and Week 5 of the NFL calendar, beating the Atlanta Falcons 23-7 and the Buffalo Bills 25-20.
With the two-game experiment being a success, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell left the door open for the trip to be extended to three games. “We like to take things in increments. I think one of the things we always focus on… is to learn from our experience every year. To try something a little different and understand the impact of that,” said Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner.

You have to go back to October 2005 for the first time an NFL regular season game was held on foreign soil. Nearly 20 years ago, the Arizona Cardinals played the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City, the precursor for today’s NFL International Series.
In October 2007, the NFL played a regular-season game in London for the first time when the New York Giants met the Miami Dolphins. Wembley Stadium in London would host one NFL regular-season game for the next five seasons.
In 2012, the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to play one home game at Wembley Stadium each year from 2013 to 2016, later extending that agreement through 2020. As a result, the Jaguars have been a staple of the NFL London games, playing overseas for 10 consecutive seasons.
In Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season, the Jaguars will play the Chicago Bears, marking the 11th straight season for the franchise in London.
Jacksonville owner Shahid Khan purchased the team in 2011 and has built up the small-market franchise. The Jaguars were rumored to consider relocating, potentially even making a move to London, but Khan put those rumors to bed with his commitment to Jacksonville: a new stadium planned to begin construction in 2026.
Khan also owns Fulham FC in the Premier League in England, strengthening the Jaguars’ ties to London.
The Jaguars have played in London 11 times over the past ten seasons and have a 6-5 record in those games.
The Jaguars played back-to-back games in London in 2023 and will do so again in 2024. They are scheduled to play the Bears in Week 6 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and then the New England Patriots in Week 7 at Wembley Stadium.
The Jaguars are 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and 4-5 at Wembley Stadium.
The Bears and Jaguars will kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
