The T20 Cricket World Cup is reaching the decisive phase, with the USA having made history!
The tournament, taking place in the Caribbean and the USA, with the United States co-hosting a major ICC tournament for the first time, began on June 1 and will end on June 29.
Twenty teams were entered in the group stage, with those sides divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will progress to the next round, known as the Super 8.
The US will be one of them, after their game against Ireland was washed out by rain on June 14, meaning they qualified for the knockout stage at the expense of powerhouse Pakistan.

The Super 8 round is the second phase of the tournament, following the initial pool stage.
It will begin on June 19 and will run until June 24. Following that, the semifinals will take place on June 26 and 27, followed by the final on June 29.
The Super 8 stage will be divided into two groups: Group 1 and Group 2.
Each group will comprise of four teams that progressed from the group stage. Group 1 will comprise of teams that finish first in Groups A and C, and second in Groups B and D. Group 2 will include the table-toppers from Groups B and D, and second-placed teams from Group A and C.
Each team will play every other team in their groups in the Super 8 stage, which means that each team will play three games.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals.
The USA and Canada were placed in Group A of the initial pool stage, with the US making a huge step towards their eventual qualification with their shock win over Pakistan. They have finished second in Group A, although they will have to wait for the other pools to be concluded to find out all of their opponents.
