The New York Jets will host the Houston Texans in a Halloween edition of “Thursday Night Football” at MetLife Stadium to kick off Week 9 of the NFL season.

After a tough loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, the Texans showed their resilience with a hard-fought 23-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. C.J. Stroud‘s performance was instrumental in this win, as the Texans quarterback completed 25 of 37 passes for 285 yards and one touchdown. Running back Joe Mixon, in his first season with Houston, also left a significant mark, rushing for 102 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries during the Week 8 matchup.

The Jets are in the middle of a challenging season with no end in sight. They are currently on a five-game losing streak, with their latest one a close 25-22 loss against the New England Patriots in Week 8 in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a completion rate of 60.7%, throwing for 233 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Patriots.
