Washington Commanders at Arizona Cardinals: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 game

September 25, 2024

The Arizona Cardinals have looked like offensive juggernauts through three weeks, and that could spell disaster for a Washington defense that has had trouble stopping anyone early on. That said, the Washington Commanders‘ offense has been no slouch either. Following a shocking win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night, the Commanders are 2-1, first-place in the NFC East, and they don’t plan on looking back.

The Commanders may have the advantage this weekend as well. If there is one person who knows the strengths and weaknesses of Cardinals‘ quarterback Kyler Murray, it’s Commanders’ offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Nobody could stifle Murray’s rampant growth quite like Kingsbury. So, with that in mind, which of these surprising teams will come away victorious in Week 4.

Tyler Dragon: Commanders 24, Cardinals 23

Week 3 was rookie Jayden Daniels’ coming out party. Daniels completed 91.3 percent of his passes in Week 3, which set a record for the highest completion percentage by a rookie (minimum 20 attempts) in a game in NFL history. Now the former Arizona State and LSU QB travels back to Arizona to have a homecoming of sorts against the Cardinals. Expect Daniels and the Commanders to take command in the desert.

Richard Morin: Commanders 25, Cardinals 18

Jayden Daniels balled out in primetime and Kliff Kingsbury seems to have his groove back. I like the Commanders as underdogs and I’m also favoring the under.

Jordan Mendoza: Cardinals 34, Commanders 30

After Jayden Daniels flourished on “Monday Night Football,” this one could be a high-scoring affair. Still, Kyler Murray has the ability to provide magic and gets the best of the rookie.
