NFL Week 16 picks: Consider Chiefs, Lions and Eagles this weekend
Lorenzo Reyes shares his best bets ahead of a long weekend of football games.
If the playoffs were to start today, the Seattle Seahawks would be the first team out of them in the NFC. Every game moving forward is a must-win. Unfortunately, they get a very tough matchup against the 12-2 Minnesota Vikings this weekend.
Minnesota has been one of the biggest surprises of the season. After rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy suffered a season-ending injury prior to the beginning of the year, fans had written Minnesota off. After all, the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions were going to be good, and the Chicago Bears just had two top-10 draft picks. How could Minnesota keep up in such a tough division?
They haven’t just kept up though. They’ve thrived thanks to a stellar defense and the resurgence of quarterback Sam Darnold. It wasn’t expected, but it’s certainly welcome. Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 16 showdown.

Geno Smith is banged up after a blowout loss to Green Bay. It doesn’t get any easier for Seattle as they face another top NFC North club. Justin Jefferson showed Randy Moss some love in Week 15. Look for Jefferson to have another Moss tribute in the end zone.
Geno Smith’s health is a big thing to watch this week. Minnesota is firing on all cylinders and they take care of business regardless of who is under center.
