USA TODAY Sports Super 25 girls flag football rankings: Week 9

November 14, 2024

High school flag football rushes toward the end of the year as teams across the country wrap up postseason play. Several championship nods have reshaped the latest USA TODAY Sports Super 25 girls flag football rankings, including Trinity League power Orange Lutheran (Calif.) ascending to No. 2 after a big win over nationally ranked Newport Harbor (Calif.).

Meanwhile, Central (Phenix-City, Ala.) continues to hold the top spot while dominating the Alabama flag football landscape.

Will any team catch the Red Devils?

Plenty of movement outside the top half has kept the rankings in a constant shift that’s filled with first-time jumps. The Peach State has created some of the more exciting storylines in that regard, with newcomer McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.) landing in the top 20 as the Georgia squad builds on an impressive undefeated 2024.

Super 25 flag football selection process

In partnership with the NFL, the teams are determined by a USA TODAY Network selection committee of editors and writers in the participating states and the USA TODAY High School Sports staff.

The process considers factors ranging from last year’s results based on NFHS Network data, carryover into this season, and a primary focus on 2024 records and overall performance.

As the season moves into November, here is the latest USA TODAY Sports Super 25 girls flag football rankings:
