Two Oklahoma casinos were named among USA Today’s top 10 non-Vegas casinos

Oklahoma has no shortage of slot machines, poker tables and gambling. Two Oklahoma casinos were named in the 2024 USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for best casinos outside of Las Vegas.

Choctaw Casinos & Resorts

About 150 miles south of Oklahoma City is the Choctaw Casinos & Resorts in Durant. The casino sits along the Oklahoma-Texas border and was named the 7th-best casino outside of Las Vegas by USA TODAY.

Owned by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the casino boasts 7,400 slot machines, over 100 table games and a state-of-the art poker room.

The resort hosts 20 restaurants, bowling an arcade and six movie theaters along with a spa and a pool location with private cabanas.

WinStar World Casino

Known for being the largest casino in the world, USA TODAY named the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville the 10th-best casino outside of Las Vegas.

Owned by the Chickasaw Nation, the casino is about 125 miles south of Oklahoma City and sits along Oklahoma’s southern border and is owned by the Chickasaw Nation.

The casino features over 600,000 feat of gaming floor with more than 10,500 electronic games, 85 table games, off-track betting and bingo.

WinStar offers 22 restaurants, a 1,700-room hotel, two golf courses, a spa and a 6,500-seat entertainment venue.
