Target doesn’t just do Black Friday. Before the retailer’s Black Friday weekend deals start on Thanksgiving, there’s already been some Black Friday week deals kicking in.
If you are ready to shop, the Minneapolis-headquartered retailer has deals already available online and in its nearly 2,000 stores. There’s more specials coming for Black Friday – overall, up to 50% off on thousands of items including off clothing, tech, video games, small appliances, luggage and holiday decorations.
“Black Friday is all about great deals, so Target is offering some of our best prices of the season to help everyone save money as they share the magic of the holidays with their loved ones,” said Rick Gomez, Target’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in a press release.
Black Friday happens the day after Thanksgiving, which is Thursday, Nov. 28 this year, meaning the shopping holiday falls on Friday, Nov. 29.
Target’s Black Friday sales event has already begun with Black Friday week deals, which became available starting Sunday, Nov. 24. But more specific Black Friday weekend deals and discounts become available Nov. 28-30.
On Black Friday, Nov. 29, stores will open at 6 a.m. local time and close at regular hours (check local store hours). Target stores will be closed on Thanksgiving.
There could be crowds of Swifties joining Black Friday shoppers because that day, Target also starts selling “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour Book” and “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” new versions on CD and vinyl with four acoustic bonus songs (the vinyl album also includes a poster of Swift).
From Nov. 30 to Dec. 23, Target also has extended store shopping hours of 7 a.m. to midnight.
You can find many of Target’s Black Friday deals in the Target weekly ad. Just go to Target.com, then click Deals, select Weekly Ad.
Target has a holiday price match guarantee: If you buy an item at Target through Christmas Eve and Target reduces the price later in the season, the retailer will price-match it. Target will also match select competitors’ pricing within 14 days of your purchase.
In addition to the retailer’s Black Friday week deals, Target says shoppers can choose from twice as many Black Friday weekend deals as last year. You can find them in the Target weekly ad, but here’s a sampling:
Members of Target Circle, the retailer’s free-to-join loyalty program, get extra deals in the Target app throughout the year.
