The failure of a season for the New York Jets (3-8) continues with the Seattle Seahawks (6-5) coming into town to play in a stadium it won a Super Bowl.
There’s a new leader in the tightly contested NFC West and it’s Seattle after the Seahawks kept Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals out of the endzone during their home victory. Seattle has now picked up two straight and is surging toward a return to the playoffs, something the Jets can’t say.
New York didn’t play last week, but that didn’t keep it out of the headlines with the firing of general manager Joe Douglas. There is no hope for the Jets to make anything of the season, so many eyes will be on how long Aaron Rodgers will be under center.

Seattle jumped into first place in the NFC West and the Jets are falling apart. This feels like a case where one team is motivated and the other is already planning for the offseason.
Winners of two straight games, the Seahawks have emerged (for now) atop the NFC West. This road game won’t be easy for Seattle, but they are playing better football than the fire-happy Jets.
I don’t love backing West Coast teams on the road in the 1 p.m. ET time slot, but Seattle found success at New England earlier this season and will find a way to grind out another win against another AFC East disappointment.
Seattle’s defense has stepped it up the past two weeks to take the pressure off the offense, and the momentum should carry when facing a struggling Jets team. New York keeps it close but can’t get over the hump.
