NFL Week 15 picks: Consider Lions, Chiefs and Bengals on Sunday
Lorenzo Reyes explains why he likes the Lions, Chiefs and Bengals in Week 15.
Thursday night features an NFC West showdown between a hot Los Angeles Rams team, fresh off a massive upset victory over the Buffalo Bills and a San Francisco 49ers squad hanging onto their playoff hopes by a thread.
As both teams venture into the final month of the NFL season, the looming dread of missing out on the postseason hangs over each team’s head. Each of these teams reached the playoffs a season ago. Both teams put on pretty stellar performances in last year’s playoffs (even though the Rams lost in their first game), but this time around, neither team will likely be participating.
Of course, neither of these teams wants that to happen, meaning they’ll fight and claw until their last breath, or at least until that ‘e’ appears next to their name in the standings.
Here are our experts’ predictions for this Thursday night NFC West showdown.
The 49ers are favorites to defeat the Rams, according to the BetMGM NFL odds. Not interested in this game? Check out expert picks and best bets for every NFL game this week.
49ers vs. Rams | Panthers vs. Cowboys | Browns vs. Chiefs | Texans vs. Dolphins | Jaguars vs. Jets | Saints vs. Commanders | Giants vs. Ravens | Titans vs. Bengals | Cardinals vs. Patriots | Broncos vs. Colts | Lions vs. Bills | Chargers vs. Buccaneers | Eagles vs. Steelers | Seahawks vs. Packers | Vikings vs. Bears | Raiders vs. Falcons
While San Francisco cannot catch a break with its injuries, the 49ers played their best game of the season against a very good Bears defense. Isaac Guerendo may have a shot to go, but I think the biggest recent move for the Niners was the return of safety Talanoa Hufanga.
This is a huge game for the 49ers as they hope to keep their playoff dreams alive. The Rams have won the past two meetings with San Francisco, and LA is coming off a signature win against the Bills. The Rams will carry momentum from last week into The Bay.
This is a tough one to pick on the spread, but the Rams have fully hit their stride and are positioned to make a run at the NFC West.
Los Angeles is coming off an incredible game against Buffalo. Even though the 49ers seemed to fix a lot of issues last week, the Rams get the better of their in-state rival and keep pace in the NFC West race.
