YouGov’s 2024 fashion rankings show that Nike is America’s favourite apparel brand, with 37 per cent of consumers considering the brand the next time they are shopping.
The international athletic clothing and footwear company outperformed Old Navy (32 per cent) and Skechers (33 per cent), as well as Levi’s (35 per cent), as the most regarded fashion brand among all American consumers. Additionally, Nike received more consideration from Gen Z customers (57 per cent), than Adidas (51 per cent) and Puma (33 per cent).
Zara is the most improved fashion brand of 2024, according to YouGov’s fashion ranking, which is based on surveys of over 32,000 Americans. With younger consumers favouring upscale design more and more in 2024, luxury labels Gucci, Dior, and Louis Vuitton also attracted more attention.
“Nike has become the leading clothing brand in the United States by leveraging the growth of athleisure,” stated Kenton Barello, vice president at YouGov. “Nike’s strategy of concentrating on technology and design has helped drive consumer perceptions that Nike offers both quality and value, while the brand’s continued growth is built on powerful word of mouth and buzz generated through its high-profile athlete endorsements.”
