Ready for a heaping helping of NFL football?
Week 13 means a three-way course of Thanksgiving offerings … although they may be mere appetizers this year. The Detroit Lions need to beat the Chicago Bears, among several other prerequisites, if they want to clinch a playoff berth this week. The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys … well, they’re playing, too. Hoping to ward off a tryptophan coma Thursday night? The Green Bay Packers host the surging Miami Dolphins in what should be the game of the day.
And don’t forget Black Friday! That’s now also an NFL tradition … as we enter Year 2 of the league slotting a game in the middle of your holiday shopping spree. The Kansas City Chiefs, who could also nail down a postseason slot this weekend, will host the Las Vegas Raiders – kickoff at 3 p.m. ET, and you can stream it on Prime Video if you’re in line at a brick and mortar store … or simply looking for deals on Amazon.
Sunday has some nice games – Chargers-Falcons, Steelers-Bengals, Cardinals-Vikings and 49ers-Bills on “Sunday Night Football.” But the marquee matchup of the weekend will be the Philadelphia Eagles’ visit to the Baltimore Ravens, a game that will showcase mirror-image powerhouses that feature resurgent running backs Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry, respectively.
How does it all spill out of the football cornucopia? To the picks …
