New York Jets at Miami Dolphins: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 14 game

The AFC East is already wrapped up, but the Miami Dolphins (5-7) still have some playoff hopes. As for the New York Jets (3-9), not so much, but they’ll try to dash a divisional opponent’s chances in a road contest.

Even when the losses continued to pile up, people still had some hope the Jets could turn it around. That appears to be all over after New York lost its third-straight game. It’s gotten so bad that there are questions about Aaron Rodgers’ future in New York, but he remains the starting quarterback − for now.

Miami can’t seem to beat the “can’t win in the cold” allegations after a sluggish start doomed the Dolphins’ trip to Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving night. The loss halted the team’s momentum, but there’s no reason to count out a team that has been playing much better ball over the past month.

Lorenzo Reyes: Dolphins 27, Jets 17

Miami desperately needs to win to stay alive in the wild card chase and the Jets are practically eliminated from playoff contention. New York looks like a team dying to get to the offseason, so I expect the Dolphins to roll here.

Tyler Dragon: Dolphins 26, Jets 24

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets have lost three straight games. There’s a lot of finger-pointing going on in the organization for a disappointing season. The Dolphins are still playing for a postseason berth.

Richard Morin: Dolphins 29, Jets 9

Sure, it was a bit of a setback at Green Bay on Thanksgiving night. But make no mistake: The Dolphins are serious playoff contenders with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback. They blow out the Jets at home.

Jordan Mendoza: Dolphins 25, Jets 19

Miami will love returning home after playing that frigid game against Green Bay. The defense is coming off a bad performance and expect the unit to make it a point of emphasis to make like difficult for Aaron Rodgers. The Dolphins get right back into the playoff picture with a win.
