Packers may regret starting Jordan Love, Dolphins season likely over
Mackenzie Salmon breaks down the top storylines from Week 9 in the NFL.
Sports Seriously
The Arizona Cardinals, ever the laughingstock of the NFL, have quietly emerged from Week 9 with a 5-4 record, sitting in first-place in the NFC West. They’ve managed solid wins over teams like the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Chargers. They even managed to hold their own against the Detroit Lions. Maybe Kyler Murray and this offense are better than we give them credit for.
That offense will have their hands full this weekend though, taking on a stout New York Jets secondary. Although the Aaron Rodgers experiment has not gone according to plan thus far, the Jets still have a little life after defeating the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football in Week 9. Perhaps they’ve figured something out.
Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 10 showdown.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Ravens vs. Bengals | Panthers vs. Giants | Bears vs. Patriots | Colts vs. Bills | Jaguars vs. Vikings | Chiefs vs. Broncos | Saints vs. Falcons | Buccaneers vs. 49ers | Commanders vs. Steelers | Chargers vs. Titans | Cardinals vs. Jets | Cowboys vs. Eagles | Texans vs. Lions | Rams vs. Dolphins
This is another fascinating matchup; the Cardinals are an ascending team that currently leads the NFC West, while the Jets picked up a huge win last week amid a season of turmoil. I still have a tough time with the Jets, who often regress to undisciplined play filled with penalties, missed assignments and miscommunication. That, and Kyler Murray is playing very well and is maximizing his dual-threat ability.
One of the best games of the week. The Cardinals have one of the league’s best rushing attacks. Arizona needed to upgrade its pass rush, so they went out and got edge rusher Baron Browning. However, the Jets defense should be able to contain the Cardinals on the ground and New York’s pass offense has an advantage.
Arizona’s season is still very much alive in an underwhelming AFC West. The Jets, meanwhile, know theirs is finished.
Did the Jets save their season? Arizona has looked solid the past few weeks, but the New York defense comes up big to halt the momentum.
