New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game

After a loss across the pond, the Jacksonville Jaguars will remain in Great Britain to take on the New England Patriots. It’s rather fitting.

Each of these teams is in desperate need of a win, but at least the Patriots have something good going for them. Third overall pick Drake Maye looked pretty good in his first career start against the Houston Texans, tossing three touchdowns despite the defeat. Now, he gets a much softer Jacksonville defense that just allowed Caleb Williams to throw for four scores? We could be in for a breakout.

With Jacksonville a bit banged up, New England could have a prime opportunity to pick up their second win of the year. Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 7 showdown.

Lorenzo Reyes: Jaguars 23, Patriots 13

I would not touch this game at all. With Drake Maye starting at quarterback, the Patriots are a massive uncertainty, and they’re traveling to London, where the Jaguars have been for a week already. But Jacksonville has been one of the most disappointing teams of the season. Still, I think they have the better roster, so I will back them, though not with any confidence.

Tyler Dragon: Jaguars 21, Patriots 17

Trevor Lawrence is 1-10 in his last 11 starts. Jags head coach Doug Pederson is getting a lot of heat, but Lawrence hasn’t played winning football. Luckily for Jacksonville, they get to face a Patriots team that might just be the worst club in the AFC. The Jaguars end their London trip with a win.

Richard Morin: Jaguars 24, Patriots 21

Drake Maye is the better option at QB, but New England can’t protect him well enough to get the win overseas. Jacksonville gets a much-needed victory. However, I’d be wary of the line above a field goal.

Jordan Mendoza: Jaguars 23, Patriots 13

On paper, Jacksonville is miles ahead of New England. The Jaguars have struggled, but they don’t disappoint in their second London game.
