New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 12 game

Life has been restored for the Miami Dolphins (4-6), and while the New England Patriots (3-8) can’t say the same, they can quickly end hope for their divisional foe in Week 12.

New England’s defense didn’t have an answer for Matthew Stafford, who turned back the clock for a vintage performance in Foxborough. The Patriots have been looking for any positives it can have as it attempts a rebuild, and that journey continues with a trip to Florida.

Could a second-half surge propel Miami to the playoffs? The Dolphins took care of business against the Las Vegas Raiders to put consecutive wins together for the first time this season. The offense looked dangerous again, a promising sign for Miami.

Lorenzo Reyes: Dolphins 25, Patriots 13

Miami had its best offensive game, as did quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and the Dolphins are hitting something of a stride. The Patriots have been competitive and Drake Maye has been a bright spot. I think New England keeps it close in the first half, though Miami should pull away late.

Tyler Dragon: Dolphins 28, Patriots 20

Tua Tagovailoa has seven touchdowns and just one interception since returning from injured reserve. Miami’s won two straight games. They have little margin of error if they hope to get back into the playoff hunt.

Richard Morin: Dolphins 27, Patriots 21

New England just got torched by the wide receiver duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua; why should they fare any better against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle? Miami has a legitimate offense as long as Tua Tagovailoa is under center. A touchdown does feel like a large spread, though.

Jordan Mendoza: Dolphins 27, Patriots 17

Seeing Miami’s offense have some flow is such a pretty sight. Miami won the last meeting when it didn’t have Tua Tagovailoa and a trash offense. With momentum building, the Dolphins take care of business for the season sweep.
