New England Patriots at Chicago Bears: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 10 game

November 6, 2024

play

Coming off tough defeats, the New England Patriots (2-7) and Chicago Bears (4-4) will meet in Week 10.

Despite a miraculous play to send the game into overtime, New England couldn’t finish the rally in Tennessee after the Titans kicked a game-winning field goal for their second win of the season. The Patriots‘ offense remains one of the worst in the league, and it’ll have a tough test against a defensively strong team.

Playing away from Soldier Field in the U.S. has not been fun for Chicago, which fell to 0-4 in true road games after the Arizona Cardinals completely dominated them. Things looked worse when Caleb Williams got injured in the final seconds of the blowout loss, but it appears he’ll be ready to go and play at home, where he has yet to lose this season.

Lorenzo Reyes: Bears 17, Patriots 14

Chicago has the better roster, though the locker room may be fraying a touch. The offense, frankly, has underwhelmed overall, particularly because of its inconsistency. New England has seen rookie quarterback Drake Maye flash potential, but Chicago has a very good defense. Still, the Bear offense is not reliable enough to back with the spread at nearly a touchdown.

Tyler Dragon: Bears 21, Patriots 17

The Bears need to figure out how to close halves better. The last two weeks have showcased a comedy of errors. Luckily for the Bears, the Patriots don’t have the talent to exploit Chicago’s shortcomings.

Richard Morin: Bears 26, Patriots 20

This should be an intriguing quarterback battle between rookies Caleb Williams and Drake Maye. The difference is Williams has an arsenal of playmakers at his disposal ― DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and D’Andre Swift ― while the Patriots are starving for options on offense.

Jordan Mendoza: Bears 22, Patriots 10

This is a great opportunity for a “get right” game for Caleb Williams and company. The defense should make life tough for New England, and the Bears remain perfect at home.
