Is the NFL destined for a Bills-Eagles Super Bowl?
The NFL could be in store for a Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills Super Bowl matchup if they keep riding their respective hot streaks.
Sports Seriously
The stars are out on Monday night, ready to shine bright under the “Monday Night Football” lights.
The Dallas Cowboys are set to host the Cincinnati Bengals, putting a bow on Week 14 in the NFL with the prime-time matchup in Texas. Both teams have struggled all year, plagued by injuries and bad defense. In many ways, whatever could go wrong has gone wrong, as Dallas and Cincinnati can finalize their offseason plans in just a few weeks.
While both sides will likely be watching the playoffs from their couches at home, that doesn’t mean we can’t get some fun action in what should be a good night for the offenses. Joe Burrow has his Bengals firing on all cylinders, at least on his side of the ball, while the defense has given up 30 points or more in the last three games.
Cooper Rush leads the Cowboys into battle, riding a two-game winning streak. Dallas finally notched a win at home after their early season struggles, but can they get another one? No matter what, we’re looking to the prop market to take advantage of all the points these two sides will score.
What are the best bets for “Monday Night Football?” Here are some prop bets to consider for the Week 14 “MNF” battle.
All odds are via BetMGM as of Sunday.
After an early departure on Thanksgiving with a shoulder injury, there was concern whether the Lamb could suit up on Monday night. He kicked off his practice week as a DNP before logging two limited sessions and being removed from the report on Saturday. The star receiver gets a dream matchup in Week 14 against a defense that’s been in the holiday spirit, gifting points to opponents.
While there is a chance that Lamb could aggravate the injury and depart at any time, getting a line at 67.5 is unheard of for the Cowboys’ top receiver. Even though he exited on Thanksgiving, Lamb still turned two catches into 39 yards. He remains a target monster and a favorite of quarterback Cooper Rush. With a nonexistent defense on the other side, Lamb can go over this line based on just volume alone.
If it’s unclear, we will be star gazing on Monday night. Chase, like Lamb, is the top receiver in Cincinnati’s offense and should benefit from this style of game. Defense won’t be on the menu Monday night and that’s typically the case in Bengals’ games this season.
Chase is matchup-proof, but it also doesn’t hurt that opposing WR1s have recently benefited from the matchups against the Cowboys. A.J. Brown went over 100 yards in Week 10. Nico Collins scored a 77-yard touchdown to open the Monday night game in Week 11, but it was called back. Terry McLaurin went over 100 yards in Week 12. Malik Nabers had 13 targets in Week 13. Sensing a theme? Bet Chase with confidence on Monday night.
While we like Chase to rack up the yards, we prefer Higgins to find the end zone. First, the +125 price on Higgins is much better than the ugly -165 on Chase, but it’s not like the Bengals’ WR2 is a stranger to the end zone. Since returning to the lineup in Week 11, Higgins has scored in both games, bringing his total to five touchdowns in just seven games.
The big-bodied receiver is a favorite target for Burrow and has seen six red zone targets over the last two weeks, just one behind Chase. Take the value on Higgins.
Ferguson is set to return from a concussion, likely ending Luke Schoonmaker’s breakout for now. While Ferguson has yet to score a touchdown in 2024, this is about as good a spot you can ask for. It should be a high-scoring game, and it comes against a leaky defense for tight ends. The Bengals have given up eight touchdowns to the position this season, which is second-most in the league. They’ve also allowed a touchdown to a tight end in four straight and 5-of-6. Expect Fergie to finally get back to the end zone for the first time since Dallas’ January playoff loss to Green Bay.
If you believe these picks can go 4-for-4, you might want to throw them into a same-game parlay. Odds on that parlay come out to +1550, meaning a $10 wager would return $165 if all four legs are victorious.
