The fireworks may be over after America celebrated the Fourth Of July. However, the MLS could set off some fireworks of its own this weekend on The Panel.
MLS gifts us seven games on Saturday and seven on Sunday, including several late-night contests.
All the sports betting sites are primed for the action as we focus on three more contests.
Our Team at The Panel has checked out the stats, guides, and key players ahead of Saturday night’s MLS schedule and picked out the following three betting predictions.
The New York Red Bulls hit a bit of a thud last Saturday as they drew at home against the DC United.
It was not the most ideal of outcomes for New York as many had honed in on how well they were performing at home. On the bright side, they still have not absorbed a home defeat in Harrison all season.
Philadelphia is now 4-8-9 (wins-draws-losses) on the season. Yes, they have eight draws in their 21 matches. One of the deceptive aspects of that record is its -3 goal differential.
For a team that has played so many games under .500, they play a lot of close games. This does offer us two options for Saturday night.
Also, note that weather could be a persistent issue on Saturday night. With tropical air in place over the mid-Atlantic, thunderstorms are very possible, which could cause delays or much slower-paced play.
Sportsbooks offer a moneyline pick at around +140 to +160 for both teams.
The over of 2.5 stands at -150. Can we count on a draw here or the Philadelphia draw no bet? A draw no bet sides with Philadelphia at Evens and allows us not to lose money if the game ends tied.
If the weather holds off, this is one of those games where the Union could pull off a surprise. If not, then all bets are off.
Panel Pick 1: NY Red Bulls And Philadelphia To Draw – +260 With DraftKings

MLS soccer goes late at night from here on out with our picks. After all, the late night is the right time for some wagers with the best betting sites.
Seattle entertains New England at home on Saturday night. The game starts just after 10:30 pm ET.
With a few options on the table, Seattle’s outright moneyline is -190. One of the problems with New England this season has been its inability to play well on the road.
The Revolution only has one draw on the season. Seattle has seven draws on the season and seven losses, plus seven wins.
However, the Sounders have a draw and three wins in their previous four games, all of which have been by one goal.
New England will allow goals as it has yielded 36 on the season (it also has a -16 goal differential). The question is are there enough goals here to ponder the Over?
Our pick here is to tilt to the Over, as San Jose wants to put on a performance at home.
The Panel Pick 2: Seattle And New England Over 2.5 Goals -150 With Caesars
The LA Galaxy had a bit of a mixed week. It defeated the San Jose Earthquakes with ease last weekend by a 3-0 score.
However, on Wednesday, it faced its rival LAFC and lost a tight 2-1 contest. LAFC seems to have its number this year in MLS play.
Anyway, the good news is that the Galaxy is home to the Minnesota United late on Sunday night. Ideally, the Galaxy scores goals (42 is second in the MLS West) and this team remembers a 5-2 drubbing it received at the hands of Minnesota early in the season.
Both teams figure to score, and the temptation is to look at the Over here. However, instead, playing it safe with the moneyline may be a better course of action on Sunday night.
The Galaxy does have seven draws, but most of those are away from home.
A close game by one or two goals seems to be the recipe for success for the LA Galaxy on Sunday night.
