Sports Seriously
The eighth week of the NFL’s 2024 season will begin in Southern California with the Los Angeles Rams (2-4) hosting the Minnesota Vikings (5-1).
Minnesota has finally fallen from the upper echelon of unbeaten teams after the Detroit Lions went into U.S. Bank Stadium and took down the Vikings. While it wasn’t the result Minnesota was hoping for, the game was a thriller and could’ve gone either way, meaning the Vikings are still a contender in the NFC.
The stadium may have been filled with Raider fans, but the Rams were able to squeak out a win against a Davante Adams-less Las Vegas team. The offense wasn’t great, but it should get a big boost this week with the potential return of Cooper Kupp.

Rams vs. Vikings | Browns vs. Ravens | Lions vs. Titans | Texans vs. Colts | Jaguars vs. Packers | Dolphins vs. Cardinals | Patriots vs. Jets | Buccaneers vs. Falcons | Bengals vs. Eagles | Chargers vs. Saints | Seahawks vs. Bills | Commanders vs. Bears | Broncos vs. Panthers | Raiders vs. Chiefs | 49ers vs. Cowboys | Steelers vs. Giants
The Rams are far too banged up to compete against a team like the Vikings, who will be stinging after their close loss against the Lions. The Vikings should cover here, and comfortably.
Things are moving in the right direction for the Rams. Cooper Kupp is expected to return, and the team just opened up the 21-day practice window for Puka Nacua. However, the good vibes won’t last long. The Vikings are the better team and are hungry after their first loss of the season. The Rams leaky secondary is going to have a difficult time containing Justin Jefferson.
The ride for the Vikings had to end sometime. Now, it’s a dogfight in a loaded NFC North. The Rams will make it competitive, but the Vikings get back in the win column here.
Minnesota is still a great football team despite the loss last week. Los Angeles will look more complete with Cooper Kupp back in the fold, but the defense has not been good. The Vikings get back in the win column.
