A few months ago, six USA Today sport writers who regularly attend games at the 30 NFL stadiums published a ranking.
Levi’s Stadium finished 20th on the list of 30 NFL venues.
Here’s what USA Today sportswriter Tyler Dragon wrote:
“It’s a little underwhelming given it opened in 2014. It has a Silicon Valley feel with around 9,000 club seats and 174 suites, but there’s not really a bad spot in the place. The stadium is located in Santa Clara, roughly 43 miles from San Francisco – and it’s actually more convenient for out-of-state fans to fly into San Jose rather than San Francisco. However a major perk, for all the journalists or those fortunate enough to be inside the press box, is the top-of-the-line catering.”
Here are the top 5 best NFL stadiums according to USA Today’s ranking. Interestingly, they are all home fields for the 49ers’ NFC rivals:
1. Lumen Field – Seattle Seahawks
2. Lambeau Field – Green Bay Packers
3. U.S. Bank Stadium – Minnesota Vikings
4. SoFi Stadium – Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams
5. AT&T Stadium – Dallas Cowboys
