Sam Darnold’s MVP run continues, Ravens save season with win in Dallas
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon ‘overreacts’ to the biggest news from Sunday’s slate of games.

Despite Travis Kelce‘s early-season struggles and injuries to Isiah Pacheco, the Kansas City Chiefs offense hasn’t missed a beat. Rashee Rice has stepped into a massive role, emerging as one of the best receivers in the NFL. The Chiefs have found themselves in several close games, but they have emerged unscathed as one of the few undefeated teams left standing. In Week 4, they get their first divisional game of the year, a matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers had an opportunity to join Kansas City at 3-0 last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the Steelers shut them down and may have eliminated some of their best players as well. Star safety Derwin James will miss this weekend’s game due to a suspension. Meanwhile, quarterback Justin Herbert is dealing with injuries of his own, and while his status is still questionable, there is a chance that he will not play either.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Giants vs. Cowboys | Falcons vs. Saints | Panthers vs. Bengals | Bears vs. Rams | Packers vs. Vikings | Texans vs. Jaguars | Colts vs. Steelers | Jets vs. Broncos | Buccaneers vs. Eagles | Cardinals vs. Commanders | 49ers vs. Patriots | Chargers vs. Chiefs | Raiders vs. Browns | Ravens vs. Bills | Dolphins vs. Titans | Lions vs. Seahawks
This is all going to depend on Justin Herbert’s health. If he cannot go, I’d back the Chiefs, even at this elevated line. But if Herbert somehow plays, I’d probably play Kansas City up until five points or so.
The Chargers were beat up in Pittsburgh. Justin Herbert reaggravated his ankle injury, LT Rashawn Slater suffered a pectoral injury, rookie RT Joe Alt injured his keen and OLB Joey Bosa sustained a hip injury in the defeat. Those aren’t the players you want to be injured when facing the defending Super Bowl champs. The Chiefs have won five straight games against the Chargers.
I’d like the Chargers’ chances better if Justin Herbert wasn’t suffering from a high-ankle sprain. It falls right into the lap of the Chiefs, who continue their unbeaten run.
The Chiefs have found a way in every game thus far and they do it again in Southern California. Justin Herbert’s health plays a big factor in the Chargers’ chances.
