(This story was updated to add new information.)
Two AFC teams headed in opposite directions will meet on “Monday Night Football” when the Buffalo Bills (2-0) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2).
It’s been a frustrating start offensively for Trevor Lawrence and company, with the latest example coming in a loss to a Cleveland Browns team that was just embarrassed by the Dallas Cowboys. Now going back to last season, Jacksonville has lost seven of its last eight games and badly needs a victory to remain in the hunt for a division title.
Buffalo lost so much from last season but the success remains. The Bills defeated the Dolphins in every facet of the game on “Thursday Night Football” and are riding solid momentum to another AFC East title.

Jets vs. Patriots | Browns vs. Giants | Colts vs. Bears | Vikings vs. Texans | Saints vs. Eagles | Steelers vs. Chargers | Buccaneers vs. Broncos | Titans vs. Packers | Raiders vs. Panthers | Seahawks vs. Dolphins | Cardinals vs. Lions | Cowboys vs. Ravens | Rams vs. 49ers | Falcons vs. Chiefs | Bills vs. Jaguars | Bengals vs. Commanders
The Jaguars simply have not shown very much to start this season to give you any optimism. Trevor Lawrence isn’t producing as he should. Doug Pederson has had some questionable game management issues. And the Bills look like a formidable force in the AFC once again, even with some of their offseason departures.
The new-look Bills are winning with a balanced offensive attack and Josh Allen is taking care of the football. Jacksonville’s underachieved to start the season. Now the Jags have two straight road games against tough opponents. The Jaguars are in serious danger of starting the year 0-4. Things might go south quickly for the AFC South team.
Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars need a win, and they’ll get a big one over a top AFC contender on the road.
Jacksonville is in a funk and while they should eventually shake it off, it’ll be tough to do it in front of the raucous Bills mafia in primetime. James Cook has solidified himself as a star and he has another big game to help out Josh Allen.
