Texas Longhorns legend Kevin Durant brought home his fourth gold medal as part of Team USA at this year’s summer Olympics in Paris. It’s a feat never before seen in more than a century of the globe’s greatest games—and, now, decades into the era of basketball’s professionals competing.
Durant is also the Olympic basketball’s leading scorer (518 points in 28 games), as well as Team USA Basketball’s all-time leader in field goals, free throws, and three-pointers, as also noted by Andscape.
“KD is one of the all-time greats,” said Lebron James following this year’s games, per Andscape. “If you look at his silhouette, look at his skill, he is one of the best players we have ever seen play the game of basketball. No matter your opinion about him or whether you like him, if you really just look at basketball and say basketball player talent, he is out of this world.”
