NFL Week 5 Overreactions: Ravens are back, Bills playoff hopes are dwindling
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon ‘overreacts’ to the biggest storylines from Week 5— including the Vikings’ 5-0 start and the Cowboys’ thriller victory on SNF.

An AFC South matchup is on tap for Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts head to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. While at first, this matchup may just look like another forgettable clash in the AFC South, there is actually a lot of intrigue surrounding this game. The biggest question mark is whether or not the Colts will ride with Anthony Richardson at quarterback.
Despite incredible play from backup Joe Flacco the past two weeks, the team seems determined to give Richardson control of their offense. This could have a very damaging effect on the efficiency of wideouts such as Josh Downs, Michael Pittman Jr., and Alec Pierce. With star tailback Jonathan Taylor in danger of missing a second consecutive game as well, there’s more than enough reason to feel worried about Indy’s offense, especially against a stout Tennessee defense that, even prior to its bye week, had surrendered the fewest total yards in the NFL.
Tennessee is fresh for this game. Coming off a bye, the hope is that quarterback Will Levis has learned a thing or two and will be less prone to turnovers. Those have been killer for Tennessee, and if Levis can limit them moving forward, there’s a good chance Tennessee will walk away from this weekend’s contest victorious.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Seahawks vs. 49ers | Bears vs. Jaguars | Ravens vs. Commanders | Packers vs. Cardinals | Patriots vs. Texans | Saints vs. Buccaneers | Eagles vs. Browns | Titans vs. Colts | Broncos vs. Chargers | Raiders vs. Steelers | Panthers vs. Falcons | Cowboys vs. Lions | Giants vs. Bengals | Jets vs. Bills
The Titans are coming off their bye, and there’s uncertainty about who plays quarterback for the Colts, so I would wait until closer to game time. But I will probably still lean Colts pretty strongly here, assuming they learn from their defensive struggles Sunday against the Jaguars.
Anthony Richardson (oblique) could be back, but Joe Flacco’s shown he’s capable of holding things down. The Titans played their best game of the young season before a Week 5 bye. The Colts swept the season series last year. I expect Indy to do the same this season.
This one could go either way, but the Colts’ offense is much more reliable to put together a game-winning drive in the final minutes.
