Sports Seriously
First place in the AFC South is on the line in Week 8 when the Indianapolis Colts (4-3) visit the Houston Texans (5-2) in their second matchup of the season.
Indianapolis capitalized on a depleted Miami Dolphins team to get a close home victory. Now the Colts are above .500 for the first time this season despite some struggles on both sides of the ball.
Houston fell just short against the Green Bay Packers in a back-and-forth game that ended the three-game win streak for the Texans. They’re still a top contending team in the AFC, and the Texans could strengthen their lead in the division with a second victory over the Colts. Can Indianapolis pull off the upset and change the course of the AFC South?

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Rams vs. Vikings | Browns vs. Ravens | Lions vs. Titans | Texans vs. Colts | Jaguars vs. Packers | Dolphins vs. Cardinals | Patriots vs. Jets | Buccaneers vs. Falcons | Bengals vs. Eagles | Chargers vs. Saints | Seahawks vs. Bills | Commanders vs. Bears | Broncos vs. Panthers | Raiders vs. Chiefs | 49ers vs. Cowboys | Steelers vs. Giants
At this point, I don’t know that you can count on the Colts for much more than beating below-average teams. Houston is decidedly not that. The Texans have won three out of the last four in this matchup, and their roster has significantly improved since then.
Houston’s coming off a tough loss against the Packers. Texans RB Joe Mixon posted on social media, “We’ll be back next week.” The Texans will bounce back against the Colts. The Colts are 4-3 but their most impressive victory was versus the Steelers in Week 4.
CJ Stroud had a rough game last week. I wouldn’t expect that two games in a row. Take Houston and the points with confidence.
Even though Houston seems like the dominant team, Indianapolis has been in every game it has played this season. Expect this one to be close like the first game between these teams, but the same result with the Texans rushing attack carrying the day.
