The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals meet in a Week 14 battle that with the NFL season winding down will have huge playoff implications in the NFC West.
Seattle (7-5) is on a three-game winning streak and sits atop the division standings. That was put to the test last week, when the Seahawks came from 14 points down to beat the New York Jets 26-21. Arizona (6-6), on the other hand, has lost ground after two consecutive losses and will want to bounce back from a 23-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in which the Cardinals held a 13-point lead late in the third quarter.
In an unusual scheduling quirk, these teams met just two weeks ago in the Pacific Northwest, with Seattle winning a defensive battle 16-6. Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had the game’s only offensive touchdown, with the game ultimately hinging on Seahawks safety Coby Bryant turning an interception into a 69-yard touchdown return. Cardinals running back James Conner was held to just eight rushing yards in defeat, and Arizona will have to improve on that front to get revenge.
