Beyoncé to perform at halftime for NFL Christmas Day game on Netflix
Beyoncé will perform in her hometown of Houston during an NFL Christmas Day game streaming on Netflix.
OK, NFL fans, now let’s get in formation.
Beyoncé will be the halftime show performer in her hometown of Houston for the Texans‘ Christmas clash with the Baltimore Ravens. For the first time, the 99-time Grammy nominated star will perform songs from her latest record, “Cowboy Carter,” live, along with other hits from throughout her career.
The Ravens-Texans game is a rematch of last year’s divisional playoff matchup and will be the second of two holiday games on the NFL’s Christmas slate. But for all of the starpower that exists on the field between two AFC playoff teams, it’s no match for the starpower taking the stage.
Here’s what to know about Beyoncé’s halftime show on Christmas this year:
Beyoncé will take the stage during halftime of the Texans‘ game against the Ravens on Christmas.
The Ravens-Texans game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Wednesday. The game and Beyoncé’s performance will both be available to watch on Netflix.
The first half of most football games takes roughly an hour and a half to complete, so Beyoncé will likely take the stage somewhere around 6 p.m. ET.
There isn’t a set start time for Beyoncé’s halftime performance because, naturally, it will depend on the length of the first half of the Texans vs. Ravens game.
The Texans game is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET. If it starts on time as expected, that should allow halftime to begin between 5:45 and 6 p.m. ET.
With that in mind, those who want to guarantee that they will see Beyoncé’s show as it happens should tune into the program at 5:45 p.m. ET, just in case the first half is fast-moving. The show may not start until closer to 6 p.m. ET – or perhaps even after if the half runs long or the game doesn’t start right away – but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
After all, we are talking about Queen Bey, here!
