After taking Caleb Williams first overall, the Chicago Bears were in a position to address another area of need with the ninth overall pick. They did just that, selecting Washington receiver Rome Odunze, a consensus first team All-American to pair with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, giving Caleb Williams a stacked wide receiver room for his rookie season.
The Bears will need all the help they can get in a division with the reigning NFC runner-up Detroit Lions, an always strong Green Bay Packers team, and a potentially under-the-radar Minnesota Vikings squad. Adding Odunze might give the Bears the most potent offense of them all though. They now have three players who could be WR1’s on most teams playing together.
