The 2024 NFL Draft kicked off with Round 1 on Thursday night from Detroit. With the No. 8 overall pick in the first round, the Atlanta Falcons selected Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
Penix Jr. finished second in voting for the 2023 Heisman Trophy after a prolific season with the Huskies. He transferred to Washington after injuries at Indiana.
