NFL Week 5 Overreactions: Ravens are back, Bills playoff hopes are dwindling
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon ‘overreacts’ to the biggest storylines from Week 5— including the Vikings’ 5-0 start and the Cowboys’ thriller victory on SNF.

The Houston Texans (4-1) and New England Patriots (1-4) are trending in opposite directions and they’ll meet in a Week 6 matchup Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
In the Stefon Diggs revenge game, the Texans receiver got the last laugh against his former team, the Buffalo Bills. Despite the Texans blowing a big lead, kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn saved the day to move Houston to its best start since 2012.
Nothing seems to be going right in New England. After opening the season with a win, the Patriots have now lost four in a row, the latest defeat coming at the hands of the short-handed Miami Dolphins. This season is looking like a waste, and the questions on if first-round pick Drake Maye gets to start will continue to build.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Seahawks vs. 49ers | Bears vs. Jaguars | Ravens vs. Commanders | Packers vs. Cardinals | Patriots vs. Texans | Saints vs. Buccaneers | Eagles vs. Browns | Titans vs. Colts | Broncos vs. Chargers | Raiders vs. Steelers | Panthers vs. Falcons | Cowboys vs. Lions | Giants vs. Bengals | Jets vs. Bills
New England has a rookie quarterback making his first start, and it comes against a team coached by DeMeco Ryans, one of the game’s top defensive minds. That, and the Texans also have the NFL’s No. 1 passing offense. This feels like a high probability for Houston to clear a touchdown here.
This could be the most lopsided game of Week 6. The Texans are already running away with the AFC South division. Houston is the only team in the division with a winning record. While the 1-4 Patriots seem to have an eye toward the future at this point. The Patriots are 0-2 at home. They’ll soon fall to 0-3 in New England.
Houston has way too much talent for New England to keep up with. The Patriots haven’t scored more than 13 points in their past three games and the offense still remains an issue in another loss.
