Falcons at Raiders: Predictions, picks, odds for NFL Week 15 game

December 11, 2024

play

The Atlanta Falcons (6-7) are reeling, but they get a perfect opportunity to get right in primetime with a Monday night trip to play the Las Vegas Raiders (2-11).

Kirk Cousins didn’t get the homecoming he envisioned when Sam Darnold proved he was the better man in the Vikings’ win over the Falcons. Now Atlanta has gone from a solid lead in the NFC South to now sitting in second place and not in control of its destiny with four games left. There’s still plenty of time, but the Falcons must show urgency if they want to avoid a disappointing season.

Each week, the season for the Raiders continues to get worse. The loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pushed their losing streak to nine games and the quarterback situation continues to get worse. If there’s any consolation, Las Vegas is in prime position for the No. 1 pick, so it may be best to just forget the rest of the season.

Lorenzo Reyes: Falcons 19, Raiders 13

I hate this game. I would not bet on this game. Kirk Cousins is playing terribly. I would still go Falcons, but I don’t feel good about it at all.

Tyler Dragon: Falcons 27, Raiders 20

Kirk Cousins has thrown zero touchdowns and eight interceptions in the past four games. The veteran quarterback should end his touchdown drought versus a bad Raiders team.

Richard Morin: Falcons 17, Raiders 10

I don’t love taking the Falcons here given their issues on offense, but I feel even worse taking the Raiders. I’d steer clear of this one.

Jordan Mendoza: Falcons 29, Raiders 17

Atlanta is clearly the better team in this one, the only problem is the team continues to get in its own way. The Falcons limit the mistakes and take advantage of the struggling Raiders to get back on the winning side.
