An Estes Park candy shop has been named the sweetest candy shop in the country.

The Taffy Shop, located on Elkhorn Avenue in downtown Estes Park, was named the best candy store by readers in USA TODAY’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards 2024.

The Taffy Shop has been making saltwater taffy in-house since 1935, “using the same, melt in your mouth recipe,” according to its website. The historic shop has tried-and-true flavors such as lemon, vanilla and peppermint, but also daily flavors including blueberry, chocolate cherry and orange creamsicle.
