Sports Seriously
After a devastating defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football, the Washington Commanders have found themselves in quite a hold. They are a game and a half back of the Eagles for first place in the NFC East and they still haven’t had their bye week. The Eagles hold all the cards, meaning the likely best-case scenario for Washington is the No. 5 seed. Luckily, that best-case scenario is pretty attainable.
Four of Washington’s final six games are against teams under .500. That includes two matchups with this week’s opponents, the Dallas Cowboys. Frankly, without Dak Prescott at quarterback, the Cowboys are not in a position to compete for a playoff spot anymore. However, that doesn’t mean they can’t wreck another team’s chances.
Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 12 NFC East showdown.

Washington, coming off its bye, should win this game. The Cowboys are kind of a mess and should consider playing Trey Lance. Either way, 11 points is a lot for the Commanders to cover.
The Cowboys have lost five straight games and things don’t appear to be getting better anytime soon. The Commanders are on a losing streak for the first time this season but are going to get back in the winner’s column this week.
It’s a two-team race in the NFC East, and the Cowboys aren’t one of those teams.
Washington’s offense needs a pick-me-up game, and it has a great opportunity when the Cowboys come to town. It’s become painful to watch Dallas, and hopefully, they can at least get in the endzone.
