Cowboys at Panthers: Predictions, picks, odds for NFL Week 15 game

December 11, 2024

play

Although neither of these teams has a particularly stellar record, each of them has shown improvement over the last several weeks.

The Carolina Panthers nearly upset the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14, and improved play by quarterback Bryce Young as well as the return of veteran receiver Adam Thielen has elevated this team to competitive levels of play.

On the other side, the Dallas Cowboys were a touchdown away from defeating the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. A win there would’ve given them three straight, their longest streak of the season. Alas, it was not to be, but that shouldn’t take away from Dallas’ (and particularly quarterback Cooper Rush’s) solid play as of late.

Although there are no playoff implications on the line in this contest, this game could very well wind up one of the most intriguing of the weekend.

Here are our experts’ predictions on this Week 15 showdown.

Lorenzo Reyes: Panthers 25, Cowboys 19

Carolina has been playing well recently, nearly beating the Eagles and the Chiefs. Bryce Young has been solid and the offensive line has been giving him time. I like the Panthers here, especially given that the Cowboys are all over the place.

Tyler Dragon: Cowboys 21, Panthers 20

The Cowboys’ loss to the Bengals last week was demoralizing, just watch Micah Parsons’ reaction. Bryce Young and the Panthers won’t make this game easy for Dallas. Both teams are pretty much playing for pride. A strong finish will help Mike McCarthy keep his job in Dallas.

Richard Morin: Panthers 26, Cowboys 24

Bryce Young is starting to figure things out, but should the Panthers be favored by 2.5 points against Dallas? I think they win, but I’m wary of the spread.

Jordan Mendoza: Panthers 23, Cowboys 20

Carolina has been playing really good football lately, the results just haven’t gone in its favor. Playing against a team coming off an emotional loss, the Panthers finally get back in the win column.
