Cardinals at Panthers: Predictions, picks, odds for NFL Week 16 game

The Carolina Panthers (3-11) were officially knocked out of playoff contention last week, and the Arizona Cardinals (7-7) are trying to avoid the same fate as they head into their Week 16 matchup.

Arizona is finally in the win column after taking advantage of a lowly New England Patriots squad last week. James Connor had a great day running the ball and the defense got back to controlling the game, which was key during its run earlier this season. The NFC West is still within reach, but there is little room for error in Arizona.

Just when it looked like the Panthers were generating momentum for next season, they were reminded there’s still plenty of work to do in Carolina. The offense had trouble holding onto the ball and the Dallas Cowboys comfortably left with a win. It was a setback, but there’s still time to end the season on a positive note.

Tyler Dragon: Cardinals 25, Panthers 20

The Cardinals are trying to climb back on top of the NFC West after losing three of their last four games. Arizona closes the regular season against the Rams and 49ers.

Jordan Mendoza: Cardinals 23, Panthers 16

Arizona is coming off one of its better offensive games in some time, and it has the chance to continue the momentum in Carolina. The Panthers aren’t great at stopping the run, something the Cardinals will definitely exploit.
