Caesars Entertainment’s reputation as a leading iGaming company was again validated with the Best Casino Operator at the EGR North America Awards 2024. The Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Entertainment, Matthew Sunderland, posted on Linkedin that this award validates the dedication and effort of the iGaming team. Sunderland also emphasized that the Caesars Palace Online Casino surpassed their expectations and that more things are to come in the future.

The prestigious EGR North America Awards is an annual event celebrating excellence in the North American iGaming industry. The awards honor leading brands driving innovation in the industry and have success across various North American markets. Caesars Entertainment received only one nomination among the seven operator categories at the awards ceremony.

The Best Online Casino Operator award contenders included other prominent Michigan casinos online, such as last year’s winner BetMGM, FanDuel Casino, and Rush Street Interactive, the parent company of BetRivers Casino.

Great Night for Popular Online Gaming Companies

The 2024 EGR North America Awards recognize the achievements of leading iGaming companies. Not surprisingly, the top brands took home the awards in the remaining six categories. FanDuel Casino had the most success at the EGR ceremony held in New York, winning two awards for Best Marketing Campaign and Operator of the Year.

Rush Street Interactive was celebrated as the best Customer Service Operator. The owner of BetRivers was shortlisted in four categories, the most of any other operator. Another popular Wolverine State operator, DraftKings, won the Safer Gambling Operator category. In the best Sports Betting Operator category, BetMGM took the crown, while High 5 Casino triumphed as the best Social Gaming Operator.

Outside the operator categories, BetMGM is the only brand that took another award as the Best Employer of the Year. Among game providers, Evolution Gaming received the award Best New Game for its title Crazy Time, while Light & Wonder won the Best Product Innovation honor.

Operator With Big Plans

Matthew Sunderland’s announcement that the Caesars team is just getting started is supported by the brand’s activities. Last year, Caesars Palace Online Casino emerged as a standalone platform in the Great Lakes State. By the end of 2024, another casino app from the Caesars portfolio will substitute WynnBET after Caesars Entertainment purchased WynnBET’s online casinos and sports betting license in Michigan.

Caesars Entertainment might have won the EGR award for best Casino Operator, but it is still far from the top position in the Wolverine State, judging by revenue numbers. The data published by MGCB showed that in May, Caesars Palace Online Casino was the fifth most visited platform, taking $11.8 million in bets. Caesars is working to grow its iGaming footprint with attractive Michigan online casino promotions and engaging casino games.
