More than $34 million in prize money will be on the line when horses hit the track this weekend at the 41st Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
A total of 14 races will be held during the two-day event, which will feature some of the best trainers, jockeys and horses from around the world.
Of course, the Breeders’ Cup Classic is the headliner on the schedule. Horses like City of Troy, Fierceness, Forever Young, Sierra Leone and Next are expected to be the top contenders, but as horse racing fans know, you can never rule out the possibility of an underdog pulling off a stunning upset.

Races will be run on Friday, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2. The Breeders’ Cup Classic is expected to start at 5:41 p.m. ET on Saturday.
