The Panthers organization confirmed that the vice president of player personnel Wilson would no longer be with the team. It is clear that his arrest was the major issue as to why he was fired from the team. Per ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, Wilson is reportedly facing three domestic violence charges and the details are quite disturbing.

The police report had numerous different strange that Wilson did, after he returned home to find divorce papers from his wife. His wife filed for divorce after finding out that Wilson was having an affair. Wilson, after finding the papers, stormed into his wife’s room and broke a TV, mirror, and many other things in the room:

“Wilson’s wife told police he pinned her against the bed and began to choke her but that she was able to get away,” Weinfuss wrote. “According to the police report, he took a gun from the safe and threatened to leave and kill himself. Wilson’s wife said he never pointed the gun at anyone.”

Per TMZ, they added that police report also said that Wilson was verbally abusive calling her a “liar,” “whore,” and [expletive]” during the altercation. When his wife reminded Wilson that their three kids were in the house while he was losing it, he replied with, “[expletive] those kids.”

After all of those disturbing things went on in the house, Wilson drove away with a gun claiming that he was going to kill himself. He decided against that however, and when he returned home the police arrested him for intentional assault causing injury, damaging property, and disorderly conduct.

Wilson had worked in the front office for 8 years for the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Panthers last year. this past weekend, the team confirmed that Wilson is no longer with the team, and it appears that his career in the NFL is affectively over.

“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” a Panthers spokesperson said. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”
