NFL Week 4 picks and predictions: Why you should consider road teams
Lorenzo Reyes is back with his best bets for Week 4 games in the NFL.
They were drafted in the same year and even made their NFL debuts in the same game, each with a preconceived narrative attached.
Josh Allen was a mostly unknown star at Wyoming with physical tools that led the Buffalo Bills to pick him with the No. 7 overall selection in the 2018 NFL draft. Lamar Jackson was a Heisman Trophy winner at Louisville who dropped to No. 32 overall to the Baltimore Ravens as he faced questions about his ability as a passer. Both have spent the first six years of their NFL careers quieting doubters, beginning with their first professional appearance – a 47-3 Bills’ win over the Ravens during the 2018 season in which Allen and Jackson entered as back-ups.
They’ll meet again Sunday night in one of the marquee matchups during Week 4 of the NFL schedule. Jackson is the reigning league MVP, Allen might be the favorite to win the award after three games, and this very well could be an AFC playoff preview.
The Bills are off to a 3-0 start, and Allen is on pace to set new career highs in completion percentage and yards per completion despite the offseason trade of wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The Ravens got their first win of the 2024 season last week at Dallas, spearheaded by a new-look backfield that features Jackson and offseason acquisition Derrick Henry, after beginning the year with two losses.
