NFL Overreactions Week 14
Mackenzie Salmon breaks down the biggest NFL storylines from Week 14.
Sports Seriously
We have a possible Super Bowl matchup coming in Week 15 with the Buffalo Bills (10-3) visiting the Detroit Lions (12-1) in a heavyweight matchup.
Josh Allen pretty much did it all for Buffalo when he made NFL history against the Los Angeles Rams, but it wasn’t enough since Los Angeles’s offense was able to crack the Bills’ defense. It was the first loss Buffalo suffered in more than two months, but the team is still one of the most dangerous in the league after Sunday’s offensive outburst.
The longest winning streak in the NFL right now has reached 11 games after Detroit just got past the Green Bay Packers in a drama-filled game with a division rival. The Lions still control their destiny in the NFC, and they could really solidify themselves as the top dog in the league with a victory over the Bills.
The Lions are favorites to defeat the Bills, according to the BetMGM NFL odds. Not interested in this game? Check out expert picks and best bets for every NFL game this week.

This is going to be a banger of a matchup, so make sure to tune in. I also think the Lions, the most balanced team in football, match up well against Buffalo. The key is keeping Josh Allen contained in the pocket; I think Detroit’s defense is capable of managing that.
This is the game of the week. The Bills are coming off an upset loss to the Rams in LA. Now they’ll travel to Detroit to play the hottest team in the NFL. The Lions have won 11 straight games, the longest active winning streak in the league. Detroit will win its 12th game in a row on Sunday.
Talk about a heavyweight bout. Part of me likes the Bills to bounce back after a tough loss, but the other part has seen the Lions play like the most complete team in football. I’d go with Buffalo if they were at home, but I’ll give the edge to the Lions at Ford Field.
Good luck to the scoreboard operator in this one. Both offenses have the potential to score at will and it’ll be a tough day to play defense inside Ford Field. While either team can come up with the victory, it’s the Lions that score last to win in a classic.
