Whether they’re flexing their skincare game, snapping a barefaced poolside pic or rebelling against beauty standards, it’s always refreshing to see A-listers embracing their true selves without the filters and layers of cosmetics.
“I’ve never been a makeup person really. I always love not wearing makeup. For me, makeup has always meant that I’m going to work,” Gwyneth Paltrow told PEOPLE in April 2020. “All through junior high and high school, makeup never became part of my routine. … I like the feeling of having clean skin.”

During yet another “Hot Girl Summer,” the Grammy-winning rapper posted her makeup-free look in a set of mirror selfies on Instagram, where she sports two different cropped shirts, curly hair and a pink French manicure.
After getting her eyebrows microbladed and lips blushed, Kyle Richards took to Instagram to share two clear-faced selfies.
“I’m sharing this make up free photo because I wanted to share that I finally got the courage to go see @mehringlam to micro blade the parts of my eyebrows that I like to fill in AND I also did lip blushing,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star captioned the photos. “I’ve always had bushy eyebrows but they weren’t even (sisters, not twins) So even if I wanted to go make up free I would always fill them in a little and put something on my lips. But now I can skip that part of my routine 😊.”
Selena Gomez‘s beauty comes “Naturally”! In March 2024, the Only Murders in the Building actress and Rare Beauty founder posted a candid, makeup-less selfie on her Instagram Story. With her hair casually styled and dressed in a gray robe, she kept things relaxed and unfiltered by playfully posing with one eye shut.
And just like that … Kristin Davis shared a fresh-faced selfie on Instagram, showing off an air-dried hairstyle and no makeup. “The return of the Kenyan hair. IYKYK. Which do you like better? Sleek fashion show hair or fluffy Safari hair?” she captioned the photo.
After experiencing acne for more than a decade, Lili Reinhart has finally found peace with her skin. In October 2023, the Riverdale star shared a series of barefaced selfies that drew attention to her glowy complexion.
