The Atlanta Falcons (4-3) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3) played a thriller in Week 5, can they produce another classic with both teams coming off tough losses?
Atlanta kept it close but the Seattle Seahawks blew the game open in the second half for a 20-point victory against the Falcons. Kirk Cousins and company couldn’t get anything going against a suspect Seahawks defense that ended their three-game win streak.
Week 7 was a tough one for Tampa Bay. Not only did Lamar Jackson tear the defense apart in an easy win, but the Buccaneers lost Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to injuries. Godwin could be out for the season, which would be a big blow to a dynamic offense. Now without stars, Tampa Bay will try to get revenge against Atlanta.

Tampa Bay was struck down by the injury bug, especially at receiver. It’s difficult to see the Bucs keeping pace here, even though the Falcons remain frustrating, inconsistent and often underwhelming.
Tyler Dragon: Falcons 27, Buccaneers 22
The Bucs are dealing with multiple injuries at wide receiver. Baker Mayfield is going to be in a tough predicament playing with a thin receiving corps. The Falcons are coming off an embarrassing 20-point loss, so expect them to put forth a better effort in Week 8. The Falcons beat the Bucs in Week 5. Atlanta will sweep the season series.
Richard Morin: Buccaneers 28, Falcons 22
Tampa Bay is playing some sneaky good football. I like them to pick up the win at home − and the over.
Jordan Mendoza: Falcons 24, Buccaneers 20
As good as Baker Mayfield has been this season, it’s tough to back Tampa Bay when his top receivers will be out for an unknown period. Kirk Cousins ripped the Buccaneers in their first meeting and gets another win against a divisional foe.
