NFL Week 15 picks: Consider Lions, Chiefs and Bengals on Sunday
Lorenzo Reyes explains why he likes the Lions, Chiefs and Bengals in Week 15.
Two teams that have never won a Super Bowl meet up in a potential Super Bowl preview for arguably the marquee matchup on the NFL’s Week 15 schedule. The Buffalo Bills, fresh off recent showdowns with the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, head to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions in a battle of conference championship favorites from the NFC and AFC.
The Lions enter with the NFC’s best record (12-1) and are riding an 11-game win streak after a 34-31 win over the the Green Bay Packers last week. But they’ll have to keep winning to fend off the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North division race and the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC’s No. 1 seed in the postseason. Quarterback Jared Goff is completing a career-best 72.4% of his passes for the highest-scoring offense in the NFL this season.
The Bills (10-3) have already clinched the AFC East division title but are coming off a wild 44-42 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams that snapped Buffalo’s seven-game winning streak. Quarterback Josh Allen is in the midst of a career year and appears to be the favorite to win NFL MVP at the moment after becoming the first quarterback in league history to run for three touchdowns and throw for three touchdowns in the same game last week. But the Bills have work to do in the race with the Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
