Greenville, once the textile capital of the world, has found itself on the map in recent years for a myriad of reasons. The city’s idyllic location in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is one factor that is often brought up when considering where to reside in terms of beauty. Beyond what meets the eye, U.S. News & World Report attributes the city’s emerging popularity to its “big-city amenities without some of the unpleasantries that come with a more populated metro area.” This can be experienced downtown, where locals and tourists alike gather to take part in Main Street’s many boutiques, restaurants, businesses, and bars ― not to mention the city’s “crown jewel,” Falls Park on the Reedy. To round it all off, those who plan on seeking a high quality of life with a low cost of living can do so in Greenville, where mild temperatures can be enjoyed all throughout the year.
