Is there more diversity across the NFL when it comes to coaches?
USA TODAY Sports’ Tom Schad reveals the latest findings from our annual NFL Coaches Project.
Week 11 of the NFL season features a Texas state showdown on “Monday Night Football” between the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys, both of whom are determined to secure a victory in this crucial match.
The Texans are currently on a two-game losing streak following a narrow 26-23 defeat to the Detroit Lions. Lions kicker Jake Bates made a 52-yard field goal as time expired, securing the victory for Detroit. Despite the loss, quarterback C.J. Stroud had a solid performance, throwing for 232 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
The Cowboys are facing a significant challenge, currently on a four-game losing streak following a 34-6 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles. This puts them in a tough spot as they head into Week 11 without their star quarterback Dak Prescott, who is set to undergo season-ending surgery for a partial avulsion of his right hamstring. Head coach Mike McCarthy has said Cooper Rush will continue as starting quarterback.
