The Cincinnati Bengals are set to visit the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11 as “Sunday Night Football” pays a visit to Southern California.
For Cincinnati (4-6), this game may prove pivotal. With AFC North rivals like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens both already on seven wins, the Bengals can’t afford to fall any further behind in the playoff race. While Joe Burrow‘s excellent season (2,672 yards, and a 24 TD/4 interception split) saw him take over as the NFL’s passing yardage leader last week, Cincinnati still came up a point short in an epic 35-34 battle with the Ravens.
Los Angeles (6-3) is one of the teams the Bengals could be fighting for a wild card spot when all is said and done, so the Chargers should eye this game as a chance to create some serious distance in that race. Head coach Jim Harbaugh‘s team has gotten it done on defense, only allowing one opponent to hit the 20-point barrier all season. Last week’s 27-17 win over the Tennessee Titans was a perfect example, as Los Angeles patiently ground out a third consecutive win with fundamental, error-free football.
