NFL Overreactions Week 10
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon breaks down the wildest games in NFL Week 10.
Sports Seriously
An intriguing matchup will cap off the Sunday slate of games with the Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) hosting the Cincinnati Bengals (4-6).
Another game against the Baltimore Ravens, another instance of Cincinnati falling just short against its divisional rival. Yes, there was controversial end of the game, but the Bengals were unable to hold onto a lead and remain outside of the playoff picture. There’s still time to get in, but there needs to be a sense of urgency.
All Jim Harbaugh does is win. In his first season with the Chargers, he has his team at 6-3 with a three-game win streak. The defense has been the name of the game by allowing a league-best 13.1 points per game, giving Justin Herbert and the offense plenty of chances to flourish. Now Los Angeles heads into its toughest stretch of the season so far with the goal of adding another victory.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Eagles vs. Commanders | Bears vs. Packers | Lions vs. Jaguars | Dolphins vs. Raiders | Patriots vs. Rams | Saints vs. Browns | Steelers vs. Ravens | Titans vs. Vikings | Jets vs. Colts | Broncos vs. Falcons | 49ers vs. Seahawks | Bills vs. Chiefs | Chargers vs. Bengals | Cowboys vs. Texans
This feels like a game the Bengals need to have. They’re just on the cusp of the playoff picture, and the Chargers are a couple of games ahead of them. Joe Burrow is lighting up opposing defenses. Cincinnati’s rushing defense is a concern, but L.A.’s offense hasn’t been as explosive. I think the Bengals pull off the upset here.
Justin Herbert beat Joe Burrow in their only head-to-head matchup. The Chargers are the fourth team in the last 40 years to hold opponents under 21 points in each of its first nine games of the season, per NFL Research. I think the Bengals score over 21 points, but Herbert outduels Burrow for a second time.
This matchup has huge wild-card ramifications in the AFC, which is why I like Joe Burrow’s killer instinct to give Cincinnati the edge in this one.
Cincinnati will be the best offense Los Angeles has faced this season, and it will be a great test for a team that hasn’t allowed more than 20 points in a game this season. However, the Bengals badly need to stack up wins, and they do just enough to get past the Chargers.
